Bad Karma Boy's fourth studio album, 10 years of the band and a rediscovered joy of music.
In one of the interviews, the band once said that the word "road" often appears in their lyrics. In a certain way, it also symbolizes the process of creating a new album, which was composed and recorded on two continents. Ideas gradually came from rehearsals in Bratislava, at cottages, but also on trips to Portugal and the Croatian islands, to finally materialize into the final form in a studio in Costa Rica.
The new songs have a specific atmosphere and mood, influenced by the environment in which they were recorded. For example, the morning ocean fog or the night solitude between the four walls of a Bratislava apartment become inspiration, and the events that the band members have gone through in the last year are also reflected. A certain kind of melancholy and melodic catchiness is still present, but the band moves forward by constantly searching for new sounds and positions.
"There are songs on the album that I feel as if I didn't compose them myself. This impression has not left me since the recording until today. The longer I made the album, the more I believed in it," says Juraj Marikovič.
The album is released on 180g purple vinyl, on CD and digitally.
The project was supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council.
