About the artist

The roots of Hvozd go back all the way to the beginning of this millennium, when they were a stable part of the Bratislava alternative scene.

Over the years, their sound has developed into a delicious combination of two voices with distinctive piano and accordion, in a place where it is equally close (or far) to chanson, cabaret, jazz and punk. This is how he was captured on his debut "Po kopcoch v županoch" in 2010. After a break of almost ten years, Hvozd is back and working on new compositions, so the studio collaboration of creative sisters Lucia Chuťková and Ivana Tirpáková is back on.
