About the album
Sisa Fehér's new recording is again a different, sonically original report on the state of her inner world reflecting today's social challenges.
The term mammatus refers to a specific type of clouds that are usually found under a large storm cloud just before its breakup, sometimes also a harbinger of a tornado. This also indicates the theme of the album, which deals with our society in disintegration, but abounds with a certain amount of optimism for the future.
The change compared to the previous record is the slight abandonment of the more traditional and pleasant jazz sound. Focusing on a more experimental sound brings previously unheard attitudes, in a sense corresponding to dystopian visions. This aspect goes hand in hand with gentle or playful lyrics and melodies.
