They play as a duo and they are also partners in their personal lives.
The Ukrainian duo Zapaska has been on the scene since 2010. They play melodies that seem to emerge directly from the earth of this beautiful country and beneath them there are various instruments, electronic beats and unexpected combinations deriving from the joint creativity of soulmates Jana Śpačinská and Pavel Nechytajl.
Jana and Pavlo live in the town of Kamyanets-Podilsky in the Khmelnytskyi region in the southwestern part of Ukraine. They are also known in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Today, more than ever, they need our support and solidarity. They are worried about their parents and friends in Kiev or other cities threatened by war. At the same time, however, they tell Denník N that they do not plan to leave, they are determined to stay in the country. "This is our home and we have a three-year-old son here."
